🎥 Pearson salutes 'strong collective effort'

Nigel Pearson saluted the whole squad effort and 1,900 fans who cheered City on to a dramatic added-time victory at Queens Park Rangers.

After midweek disappointment at home to Luton Town, which saw the Robins have to settle for a share of the points, they took all three at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Pearson told Robins TV: “We know we have been in a game. It was a telly good championship match; QPR are one of the best sides I’ve seen. The players have got something to celebrate tonight in terms of rewards for working very, very hard. The subs played a huge part in what is a very strong collective effort."

Wells’ winner sent 1,891 City fans back down the M4 happy and Pearson added: “The fans were brilliant and they created a real atmosphere.”

Pearson went on to discuss George Tanner’s impressive debut; Dan Bentley’s mental resilience; Nahki Wells’ finishing; and an ankle injury to Nathan Baker which saw him replaced by Jay Dasilva at half-time.
