🎥 Pearson proud of reaction from City squad

Nigel Pearson was proud with the character and bravery of his side as City came from behind to secure all three points against Millwall in BS3.

City took the lead early at Ashton Gate yet again when a clever Andi Weimann finish found the back of the net  in the seventh minute.

At the break the Robins were 2-1 down after goals from Tom Bradshaw and a penalty from Benik Afobe. However, a second half resurgence saw Pearson's side claim victory as City's number 14 scored twice to secure the match ball and take his tally up to 12 for the season..

Speaking to Robins TV, Pearson said: "I'm pleased for the players and the fans as we've seen too many of the reverse, where we end up being frustrated.

"We showed some character and bravery to retain our impetus in the second half and we tried to dominate the game.

On hat-trick hero Andi Weimann, Pearson added: "You always know what you're going to get from Andi, this year he has found a way of always being in the right place at the right time.

"The goals he scored today were all very different, the first one was an excellent technical finish then it's about being able to stay calm in a pressured situation."
