🎥 Pearson praise for attacking intent

Pearson praised his squad's ambition and aggressiveness to secure three points against Derby County at Ashton Gate.

Pearson told Robins TV: "I think it was a committed performance today, even though there were mistakes, and I don't think you could say there wasn't a real effort to win the game,"

The manager also saluted his front two of Chris Martin and Antoine Semenyo, with the latter starting his first game of the season.

“Chris (Martin) had a great chance but I thought he was excellent today. I don't think he lost a header, so he gives us a focal point," he added.

“(Semenyo) showed exactly why he's a nightmare to play against because of his raw pace and power.”

The City boss was however frustrated that his team didn’t add to Alex Scott’s first-half goal to put the game out of sight, reflecting: “We had enough chances to put them to bed very early.”
