🎥 Pearson positive after City earn draw

Nigel Pearson praised City's "spirit and mental strength" after City battled back to a point in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Fulham.

Substitute Kasey Palmer struck a 79th-minute goal from a tight angle, after Aleksandar Mitrovic had given the away side the lead inside the 50th minute.

The Robins gave their all and held on to earn the point despite Fulham wasting several chances, including hitting the woodwork twice.

City created their own chances with Nahki Wells and Nathan Baker just off-target before Palmer pounced.

Pearson told Robins TV: "It feels very positive but we know we could have lost the game. Likewise, the chances we had were good too. In the first half there weren't many open chances at either end, it was different in the second half but we showed a lot of spirit and mental strength. so to get a point from a losing position is pretty good.

"The fans will see a level of commitment we need in every game so it's small steps.

"We had to changes a few things in the second half due to fatigue, problems on the pitch we needed to address but the players applied themselves very well today bu there are always things we can improve on."
