🎥 Pearson pleased with ‘spirit, drive and quality’

Manager Nigel Pearson praised City’s ‘spirit, drive and quality’ after the Robins completed the Severnside double over Cardiff City.

City came from behind to clinch all three points thanks to a Chris Martin brace and an eventual Andi Weimann winner.

Pearson told Robins TV: “When you deal with losing two players through injury in the first half and going behind – we had a few obstacles – to overcame but we played with a lot of spirit, drive and quality and managed the game generally very well.

“The most important thing was the result but I was pleased with a large part of our performance today – we did what we needed to today.”

Pearson went on to talk about double goal-scorer Chris Martin, Andi Weiman’s third Severnside derby goal of the season, the maturity of Alex Scott and Han-Noah Massengo and the impact of a 21,000-strong crowd.
