Nigel Pearson is pleased with the progress his side have been making ahead of their visit to face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday (3pm).
The Robins travel to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest this weekend in search of an illusive victory on the road.
Despite the 2-1 loss to Coventry at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night Pearson is pleased with how his side have developed in recent weeks after improved performances on the pitch.
Speaking to Robins TV, Pearson said: “We have to put the disappointment of the game against Coventry behind us because we know we played well and if we maintain those levels of performance we'll be fine.
"Nottingham Forest took advantage of our fragility the last time that we played them so it's important that we get a good performance and hopefully that will allow us to get a positive result.
"The players are doing well as individuals and collectively they're making progress. It's important that we can maintain and improve on the standards we are starting to set.
"I get a reward when I see the players enjoying their football and at the moment they are, so long may that continue.
"Since Steve's (Cooper) been in there they have had a real positive turnaround in form and he has shown that he is a very capable coach and manager so they'll be a very difficult team to play against. I'm sure he would've seen how we're performing at the moment and will have a healthy respect for us too."
Pearson also spoke about the adaptability of his players and gave an injury update on Rob Atkinson and Matty James.
Tickets are still available for the Robins' trip to the City Ground on Saturday (3pm) as they take on Nottingham Forest in the Sky Bet Championship
