Nigel Pearson said he could not fault the players' application after City played out an end-to-end goalless draw against Preston North End.
After securing a point against the Lilywhites, the manager was encouraged by a positive display that saw City secure their first clean-sheet of the season, while unable to convert chances into goals.
Pearson told Robins TV: “I’m really happy with the application of the players. I would have loved for us to get a winner for the players and the fans in particular who are willing us over the line. But if we turn up like that every game we are going to be a tough opponent to deal with. I can’t ask for a great deal more.”
The Robins next welcome Luton Town to Ashton Gate on Wednesday (September 15th, 7.45pm).
