Nigel Pearson is pleased with the number of players available as he prepares his squad for the visit of Swansea City this Friday night (August 20th, 7.45pm KO).
The manager has just a handful of players making their way back to full fitness as he addressed the squad’s availability for their next Sky Bet Championship fixture.
Andy King was forced off in Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Reading and he will be assessed before Friday’s team to face the Swans is selected.
Pearson confirmed Antoine Semeyno continues to make “really good progress” and Joe Williams is back in training after picking up a knock against Forest Green Rovers last week.
Pearson told Robins TV: “Getting to a point where most of the players are available and if we get contact injuries in games, there’s little we can do about that. We want to avoid the soft-tissue injuries and we’re doing that because the players are in a decent condition now.”
Tickets are on general sale for the visit of the Swans.
As per EFL regulations, the game cannot be streamed on Robins TV as the match has been selected for live Sky Sports coverage.
