Paterson strike earns award nomination

Jamie Paterson's arrowed strike against Sheffield United has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month award for December.

Paterson's drilled effort beyond Blades keeper Simon Moore gave City a half-time lead at Bramall Lane in the Friday night fixture on December 8th.

Despite Leon Clarke's equaliser, City pushed on to secure a late winner courtesy of Aden Flint's volley.

City's attacking playmaker goes head to head with David Brooks (Sheffield United) and Adam Reach (Sheffield Wednesday) respectively for the goal of the month accolade.
