Paterson injury doubt for Blades clash

Jamie Paterson is an injury doubt for City's trip to Bramall Lane on Friday night.

The winger has not fully recovered after picking up a recent hamstring problem, while his playing time last month was also hampered because of illness.

He played 80 minutes against Middlesbrough last weekend, scoring City's decisive goal in the 2-1 victory with a volley at the far post.

Speaking ahead of the Sky Bet Championship clash with Sheffield United, assistant head coach Dean Holden said: "We will see how Pato is once we start to get ready in the next couple of days.

"He's had a slight issue but fingers crossed he can get on the bus and up to Sheffield."

Holden has reaffirmed that Milan Djuric will need an operation, while Famara Diédhiou has returned from France, where he has been undergoing rehabilitation and spending time with his family.
