Aimee Palmer has put pen to paper on a new deal to stay at Bristol City until 2023.
The City skipper will remain in the West Country until the end of the 2022/23 campaign, with the option of a further year if the Robins return to the Barclays FAWSL in that time.
Palmer broke into the first team set-up at just 16 years old in 2017 and over two spells in the West Country she has amassed over 50 appearances.
The 21-year-old has been an integral cog in the Robins’ midfield throughout the 2021/22 campaign, which has also seen Palmer enjoy her most fruitful season in front of goal to date, scoring three and providing three assists.
Speaking to Robins TV, Palmer said: “When I look at my career this is one of those opportunities that I am really thankful for. Here - the culture, the players, the staff - everyone just gets on.
“When I am happy off the pitch, I’m happy on the pitch and that’s when you get the best out of me.”
England international and World Cup winner, Sophie Halhead will join the Bears Women board ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
