Palmer excited by City's potential

Kasey Palmer saw plenty of positives as a new-look City side secured a point against Birmingham City yesterday (August 10th).

The new faces of Pedro Pereira, Ádám Nagy and Benik Afobe – all of whom arrived in the final week of the transfer window - looked settled, with summer signing Rowe’s late strike the vital equaliser for City.

“Considering we only met some of the new boys a few days ago, we came in and did really well, I think,” Palmer said. “There are a lot of positives to build on, we wanted the three points but how we played in the second half, we pushed to win and we did really well.”

And that excites City attacking midfielder, who sees greater potential the longer the group play together.

“If they are going to play like that after two days, well after two months we are going to be a great team. Once everyone starts settling in and gets to know each other off the pitch, we can only build on that,” he added.
