City have completed the loan signing of attacking midfielder Kasey Palmer.
The 22-year-old Chelsea Academy product links up with Lee Johnson’s squad until the end of the season.
Palmer spent the first half of the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Blackburn Rovers where he scored three goals in 17 appearances.
Already accustomed to Sky Bet Championship football, he helped Huddersfield Town win promotion to the Premier League in 2016/17, going on to make four appearances in the top flight with the Terriers on loan last season.
He would go on to feature for Derby County on loan before his temporary switch to Ewood Park.
Palmer is also a double-winning FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League winner with Chelsea. He also won the Under-21 Premier League in 2014.
Head Coach Johnson said: “I’m delighted we have been able to sign Kasey Palmer on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season and it’s great to get this done so early in the window.
“Kasey is a very good player who can play through the middle and out wide; he can create openings as well as score goals and I’m excited about what he can bring to our squad.
“We’ve got 20 scheduled league games left, plus the FA Cup, and Kasey will be able to help us continue the momentum we have built.”
Palmer has been handed the number 45 shirt and is available for selection this weekend.
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
