Marlon Pack has signed a new three-year contract at Ashton Gate.
The 27-year-old midfielder completed the formalities of his deal today, which sees him tied to the club until the summer of 2021, with the option of a further 12 months, and the announcement was made on Facebook Live.
Speaking of his new deal, Pack said: “I am delighted to extend my stay at Bristol City.
“I have been here for near enough five years now and have enjoyed every moment.
“The 2014/15 season and last year’s Carabao Cup run are stand out moments and I hope to reach new heights with this club in the future.”
Head coach Lee Johnson commented: “It’s brilliant Marlon has signed a new contract.
“I think he’s grown as a man and footballer since joining the club and he’s the type of character we like to build our squad around.”
Pack signed from League Two Cheltenham Town after a successful trial in 2013.
In 2014/15 he was integral to the team that won both the Sky Bet League One title and Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and the fan favourite continues to be a regular starter for Lee Johnson.
Pack has now made 233 appearances in a City shirt, scoring ten times.
