The Robins boss praised her team’s effort and ability to create chances as City Women left the Madejski with a valuable point.
Emma Bissell opened the scoring as she finished a clinical counter-attack prior to the half-time break. Reading would level five minutes after the break with both teams going on to create plenty of opportunities to win the game late on.
“It seems that every time we come to the Madejski it’s a great game for the fans to watch. I thought it ended up looking like a basketball game at the end, quite transitional and we had some great chance to pinch it.
“Reading created opportunities as well, they’re a fantastic side and we knew it was going to be difficult coming here.
“I’m delighted for the players and staff that we have held on to get a point, which is valuable to our season.
“The pleasing thing for us that we didn’t just come here and sit in. We created chances and were positive going forward, we need to take a look at the Reading opportunities, but we managed to stick in there.
“We rode our luck at times, which I thought we earnt through our effort and organisation. We created enough to make it even more interesting but it’s great to come away with a point.”
City Women face the challenge of two back-to-back home games this week against Aston Villa (Wednesday, December 9th) and West Ham United (Sunday, December 13th).
