🎥 'Our performance deserved more' - Pearson

Nigel Pearson believed his side's performance 'deserved more' after the Robins' winning run in BS3 came to end after a late Viktor Gyökeres sealed victory for the Sky Blues.

Chris Martin had levelled the scores in the 64th minute following Ian Maatsen’s first-half opener and City were in search of a winner as they dominated the second half proceedings.

However, the Robins’ hard work was undone by another late goal that denied them points after a largely positive performance.

Pearson told Robins TV: "Yes, they'll be talk about how many times losing a late goal has occurred but the circumstances were different tonight.

"We were looking to get the winner and I don't think it's naive, we've just made a mistake in the middle of the park which has led to their goal, that's disappointing.

"I thought the players were excellent tonight, we had to be patient and create opportunities and I thought we did that.

"The second half is as good as we have played all season so to come away with nothing is quite difficult for us all."
