Karleigh Osborne’s season has been cut short by a knee injury.
The central defender was loaned to AFC Wimbledon for the entirety of the 2015/16 season and made 25 appearances before suffering the problem in training.
Dons boss Neal Ardley has now confirmed: “Unfortunately the injury is worse than we first anticipated and it looks like he will not play during the run-in.
“He needs to have another MRI scan to confirm the full extent of the damage.”
Osborne said: “I’ve been told my season has been cut short due to the injury but there’s only one thing to do, come back fitter and stronger next season. The road to recovery starts now.”
The 27-year-old joined City in November 2013, initially on loan, before signing permanently three months later. Last term he spent time on loan at Colchester United.
In total he has made 31 appearances for City.
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
