Olivia Fergusson Joins Bristol City Women

Willie Kirk has added forward Olivia Fergusson to his Bristol City WFC squad ahead of the start of the 2016 WSL2 season.

The England U17s international joins the Vixens following the expiration of her contract at Aston Villa Ladies FC, where she had progressed through the Centre of Excellence and Development Team and into the first team, netting 8 goals in the 2015 season.

On joining Bristol City, Olivia said: “I am really excited to be joining Bristol City this season. It is a great opportunity for me and I’m really excited to be involved in what promises to be a great season for the club.”

Manager Willie Kirk added: "I am delighted to add Olivia to the squad. When I did my analysis of Aston Villa last year before playing them in the Continental Cup, I highlighted her as a danger. Her pace, directness, enthusiasm and delivery into the box were all attributes that stood out.

“'Livi' is making a huge commitment to the club with this move, as the logistics of travel to and from Bristol and the step up in training volume are significant. That in itself shows you what type of character she is.”

Bristol City Women begin their season in the FA Cup at home to QPR Ladies on Sunday, February 7th (1pm) – click here to buy tickets online.

Season tickets for the 2016 WSL2 season go on sale in February.
