Callum O’Dowda has been named in Republic of Ireland’s squad for their upcoming matches.
The Boys in Green take on Oman in a friendly at the Aviva Stadium on Wednesday, August 31st (7.45pm) before heading to Belgrade to take on Serbia in a World Cup qualifier (Friday, September 2nd, 8.45pm).
O’Dowda, who joined the club in the summer from Oxford United, won his first senior cap in May when Ireland fell to a 2-1 defeat to Belarus.
Initially named in the Under-21 group, O’Dowda has clearly done enough to impress Republic boss Martin O’Neil ahead of the forthcoming senior international games.
