🔢 Numbers game: Bristol City 3-2 Millwall

We break down the statistics from City's emphatic 3-2 win against Millwall at Ashton Gate.

City clinched all three points at Ashton Gate after a very dominant second half against Millwall and a late winner from Andreas Weimann.

The Robins got off to a flyer yet again in BS3, when Weimann capitalised on a defensive error, lifting the ball over Bartosz Bialkowski and into the back of the net, taking the Austrian’s goal tally for the season into double figures.

Millwall found an equaliser shortly after the twenty minutes mark as Murray Wallace’s cross from the left was headed home by Tom Bradshaw.

Shortly after, the visitors were awarded a penalty when Ryley Towler brought down Benik Afobe in the area. The former City forward stepped up and slotted his spot kick into the bottom corner.

The Austrian got his second goal of the game to bring the Robins level as he burst past his marker to turn Massengo’s whipped cross into the top corner.

With just a few minutes remaining on the clock Weimann secured the match ball to raise the roof at Ashton Gate. The ball ricocheted around the box and Alex Scott was denied by a block on the line but Weimann was on hand to smash the ball into the roof of the net.
