Lee Johnson has asked City’s supporters to cheer on his team into the EFL Cup quarter-finals.
Currently riding high in the Sky Bet Championship play-off zone, City take a break from league action to host Premier League side Hull City at Ashton Gate tomorrow night (Tuesday, 7.45pm).
Ticket sales have just topped 11,000, but after seeing more than 21,000 pack into the stadium for Saturday’s 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers, Johnson is imploring fans to come back for more.
“It’s going to be a massive night and I’d just encourage people to come down,” the City head coach told bcfc.co.uk.
“We’re playing about a Premier League side and we need to get people down here. A quarter-final place is up for grabs.
“Hopefully a few fans who came along through the season card offer on Saturday will want to join us again.”
The last time City reached this stage of the competition in 1988/89, they went on to make the semi-finals, losing out to Nottingham Forest over two legs.
Tickets are priced £13 for adults, £11 for seniors and under-22s, £6 for under-19s and just £1 for under-12s. Buy online by clicking here.
