Marlon Pack believes City can use some winning momentum to spring a surprise or two on the road.
Lee Johnson’s men halted a club record eight-match losing run with four points in two games at Ashton Gate, culminating in Saturday’s crucial 1-0 victory over Rotherham United.
With four of City’s next five games being played away from home, Pack insists their return to winning ways will fuel the players’ belief.
“The fixtures we have on paper are tough, but this league shows you can beat anyone on your day,” he told Bristol City Player HD.
“We’ll be working hard on the training field, making sure we all know our jobs and hopefully we can cause a few surprises with some good away results.
“Once you stop the rot, as we did on Tuesday, you build a bit of momentum. Saturday wasn’t vintage at times, but I think everyone would agree that getting three points was the most important thing.
“We’re two games unbeaten so let’s go on a good run. Let’s be positive and play with no fear, because I think if we do that we’ll be a better team for it.”
Speaking after the Rotherham game, Pack admitted his team-mates were only too aware of the importance of the result.
“The feeling was obviously one of huge relief,” he added. “It’s been a tough spell for us; it was a must-win game and we got that win.
“When you go on a run like that you can tend to hide, but I don’t think anyone’s done that.
“A lot of the performances have been ok but results haven’t, and we’re in a results-based business.”
