Nine City Women Players On International Duty

Nine Bristol City Women players have been selected for their respective national teams in the latest international window.

Danique Kerkdijk has travelled to the Netherlands to link up with the Dutch women’s national side, who face Switzerland in the final of the FIFA World Cup play-offs. The winner of the two-leg tie will secure a place at the FIFA World Cup that will be held in France this coming summer.

Katie Rood has also been named in the New Zealand Women’s national side for the upcoming OFC Women’s Nations Cup. Rood could win her second cap for the Football Ferns as they face the Cook Island, Tonga and Fiji later this month.

Scotland have selected central-defender, Frankie Brown for their upcoming friendly with USA on November 13th. Scotland recently made history by qualifying for the FIFA World Cup following a scintillating campaign which saw them dramatically qualify in Albania.
