Niclas Eliasson factfile – all you need to know

Niclas Eliasson has become the club’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.

The Swedish winger arrives from IFK Norrkoping for an undisclosed fee, penning a three-year deal, with a further year option.

Eliasson has spent his entire professional career in his homeland to date – so for fans who want to know a little more about the winger, here’s a handy guide.

NICLAS ELIASSON

Born: Deeember 7th 1995 (age 21).

Place of Birth: Varberg, Sweden.

Position: Winger (left or right).

Previous professional clubs: Falkenbergs FF, AIK Stockholm, IFK Norrkoping.

Career totals: 117 appearances, 11 goals.

European football: Eliasson was involved in Norrkoping’s recent Europa League qualifying campaign, scoring against Kosovan outfitFC Prishtina and providing an assist versus Lithuanian side Trakai, who beat the Swedish on penalties.

International football: Sweden Under-21s (two caps), as well as previous appearances for the country’s Under-19s and Under-17s.

Highest transfer fee paid: A reported £360,000 when joining IFK Norrkoping.

Did you know: Eliasson is half-Swedish and half-Brazilian – his mum was born in the South American country.
