Ádám Nagy has completed his transfer from Bologna to Bristol City after agreeing a three-year deal, with the club having the option of a further 12 months.
Nagy is a Hungarian international midfielder who becomes the Robins’ 11th signing of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old became a regular in Series A for the Italian club, whom he joined from Ferencváros in his home country back in 2016.
It was there where he won the Hungarian top flight (Nemzeti Bajnokság 2015/16) as well as a number of cup competitions (Magyar Kupa, 2014/15, 2015/16, Ligakupa 2015 and Szuperkupa 2015).
At international level Nagy made his Hungary debut against Northern Ireland in 2015. He has made 28 appearances for his homeland to date and featured at the 2016 European Championships.
City’s Chief Executive Mark Ashton said: “Adam is another fantastic talent and we are delighted he has signed for Bristol City amid offers from other clubs. He brings experience as an established international and he has a lot to offer us.”
Robins Head Coach Lee Johnson said: “We are really exciting about signing Adam. I’m delighted he has chosen us over a number of other possibilities and his energy and style of play will fit our team seamlessly.”
Nagy will link up with the squad ahead of the Sky Bet Championship fixture away to Birmingham City this Saturday (August 10th, KO 3pm KO).
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
