✍️ Murray is a Robin

City Women have strengthened their backline with the addition of Satara Murray.

Twenty-eight-year-old Murray adds depth and experience to the Robins defence as they prepare for the upcoming Championship season.

Speaking on her arrival, Murray said: “I’m delighted to have signed with Bristol City and return to play here in England.

“It’s an opportunity for me to challenge myself in a new environment and I’m determined to contribute to the club’s success on the pitch.

“Bristol City have shown they’re committed to the women’s programme with their move to the High Performance Centre for all home fixtures, which will be a great surface and facility to play Championship football.”

Murray was born in New York and raised in Texas, before her rise to stardom began in the collegiate soccer programme with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The centre-back would go on to make 85 appearances for the American college and help the Tar Heels claim their 21st National Championship.

Her performance in the Sky Blue would see her receive All-American honours, before securing a move to Liverpool in 2015 where she would spend four seasons.

NWSL side Houston Dash would be Murray’s next destination in 2019, followed by a year-long spell in Norway with Toppersein side Kolbotn.

The end of the 2020/21 season would see Murray return to her native Texas to play for FA Austin Elite prior to joining the Robins.

Supporters can secure their Season Cards now to watch Murray and her new teammates at the Robins High Performance Centre this season.
