Morrell receives international recognition

Joe Morrell has become the seventh City player to be called up during the international break.

The midfielder, currently on loan at Cheltenham Town, was initially on standby for Wales Under-21s’ UEFA qualifier in Liechtenstein.

He jets out immediately to Eschen with the squad for the match, which takes place on Thursday, October 5th (4.30pm).

Morrell joins Bailey Wright (Australia), Hordur Magnusson (Iceland), Callum O’Dowda (Republic of Ireland), Gustav Engvall (Sweden Under-21s), Lloyd Kelly (England Under-20s) and Jonathan Leko (England Under-19s) in being called up.
