Taylor Moore scored his first goal for England Under-20s in an 8-1 thrashing of Nigeria in the Continental Cup.
The City defender opened the scoring in the 19th minute at the Suwon World Cup Stadium in South Korea.
Barnsley’s on-loan Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong immediately added England’s second goal with the first of a hat-trick.
Dominic Solanke was also on target in the first half as the young Lions hit four before the interval.
Callum Connolly scored early in the second period before a Patrick Roberts brace, while Armstrong added to his two first-half strikes with his third to ensure a handsome victory for Paul Williams’ team.
England are next in action against host nation South Korea tomorrow before facing Iran on Saturday.
The competition provides a taste of what to expect at next summer’s Under-20 World Cup, also in South Korea, for which England qualified by reaching the semi-finals of the Under-19 European Championships earlier this year.
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
