Jay Dasilva sees Saturday’s trip to Reading as another chance for City to keep building on their recent good form, with confidence flowing through the camp.
City head to the Madejski Stadium on Saturday (November 28th, 12.30pm KO) off the back of a mini four-game unbeaten run (W3, D1) after the midweek stalemate against Watford.
The Robins gave a good account of themselves to hold the former Premier League outfit to a point and in doing so earned a third successive clean sheet.
Dasilva said: “Confidence is a very big thing for us in football. As defenders we pride ourselves on keeping clean sheets, we’ve been solid recently so it’s about building on that and keeping this momentum.
“We’ve had a positive start to the season so building on that, staying consistent and staying around that top three.”
As for Reading, they too enjoyed a flying start to the 2020/21 campaign. The Royals went unbeaten in their first eight league games, which included seven wins, though Veljko Paunović’s side are without a win in their last five outings.
It is form which has seen the Berkshire side concede top spot but they still occupy sixth place ahead of Friday night’s football elsewhere in the Championship, with City one point ahead in third.
Looking ahead to Saturday's trip, defender Dasilva said: “They (Reading) will still be positive after a great start, their last few results haven’t gone their way but we know they’re a good team. We just take every game as they come, focus on what we can do to win the game.”
