Media Watch - October 23rd

Here's a round-up of the latest online and newspaper media coverage about City.

In his post-Leeds United press conference, Marlon Pack told the Bristol Post that City’s first home defeat of the season won’t trigger the poor run of results experienced last campaign.

Roy Hodgson admitted to the Croydon Advertiser that he is unsure if Pape Souare will feature in tomorrow night’s Carabao Cup fourth round tie at Ashton Gate. The defender’s only appearance this season came in the previous round having made a miraculous recovery from the injuries he sustained in a car crash last year.

Newport County boss Michael Flynn says Shawn McCoulsky is close to forcing his way into the starting XI, as the Post report. The City loanee netted his fourth goal in as many games at the weekend, taking his tally to seven in 11 matches.

Previewing Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash at Sunderland, the Sunderland Echo claim the Black Cats need need to be stronger and treat the game ‘like a final’.

These stories have been reproduced from today's media. It does not necessarily represent the position of Bristol City FC.
