Media Watch - October 10th

Here's a round-up of the latest online and newspaper media coverage about City.

The brother of former City striker Kevin Mabbutt is backing the Robins for promotion this season. Speaking to the Bristol Post, Gary Mabbutt said: "At the moment as far as Bristol City are concerned things are looking very positive."

Football League World wrote of Callum O'Dowda's use of social media to spur on his international teammates. The youngster tweeted: "COME ON YOU BOYS IN GREEN" before Ireland secured a play-off place ahead of the 2018 World Cup finals with a 1-0 win against Wales in Cardiff on Monday night.

Burton defender Ben Turner "has a chance" of returning to action for the Brewers against Bristol City this Friday night, reports the Burton Mail. The former Cardiff player picked up a hamstring injury in the 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa and missed the thrashing to Wolverhampton Wanderers four days later.

And the Bristol Post reports that 20-year-old George Dowling is set to return to Torquay united after undergoing treatment for an injury back at BS3.

These stories have been reproduced from today's media. It does not necessarily represent the position of Bristol City FC.
