Media Watch - March 8th

Here's a round-up of the latest online and newspaper media coverage about City.

Nigel Clough told the club's official website that he wants his team to be on the front foot against promotion-chasing City this weekend.

Burton Mail states that Burton Albion will assess Damien McCrory and Hope Akpan ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship encounter, while the fixture is thought to come too soon for defensive duo Ben Turner and John Brayford.

Lucas Akins told the Burton Mail that the Brewers could benefit from the promotion pressure Lee Johnson's side find themselves under when they make the trip to the Pirelli Stadium.

Luke Williams praised the impact of City's first team players as his Under-23s side finished top of their Premier League Cup group with a 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic, as the Bristol Post writes.

Milan Djuric, Jens Hegeler, Cauley Woodrow and Gustav Engvall all featured for the development group and the Post analyses their individual performances.

Finally, The Football League World and Burton Mail report on Aden Flint and Joe Bryan picking up suspensions in City's 2-1 defeat at Preston North End and the Post looks at potential replacements for the defensive pair.

These stories have been reproduced from today's media. It does not necessarily represent the position of Bristol City FC.
