Here's a round-up of the latest online and newspaper media coverage about City.

BBC Sport highlights Jonny Smith completing a season-long loan to Tranmere Rovers. The move comes after the youngster put pen to paper on a new contract at Ashton Gate, until the summer of 2020.

The City youngster featured for Tranmere Rovers last night and found the back of the net on his debut, as the Bristol Post highlights.

The Post reports on City's pre-season victory over Cheltenham Town at the Woodspring Stadium.

After the "Johnson Cup" victory, Lee Johnson told the Post that Bailey Wright, Lloyd Kelly and Callum O'Dowda have been carrying knocks, hence them not featuring in either pre-season friendly.

Rumoured City transfer target Alex Gilliead has agreed terms with Shrewsbury Town, as the Post reports.

Despite being linked with Albert Adomah, the Post understands the Newcastle United have yet to make contact with Aston Villa regarding the former City winger.
