Media Watch - January 16th

Here's a round-up of the latest online and newspaper media coverage about City.

Having expressed interest in Hordur Magnusson during the summer, the Bristol Post understand that Russian side FC Rostov will attempt to recruit the Icelandic defender during the January window.

According to League of Ireland, Lee Johnson’s side are thought to be monitoring Cork City’s midfielder Conor McCormack.

Meanwhile, City have been repeatedly linked with a move for Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill, with Leeds United, Birmingham City and Aston Villa also keeping tabs of the frontman, as highlighted by the Post.

BBC Sport report on Scott Golbourne’s hip injury requiring surgery. The defender, who has been on loan with MK Dons, is set to be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

Finally, City return to league action on Friday night in a televised clash at Derby County. The Post believe Gary Rowett's midfield could be bolstered by the return of Joe Ledley, who has missed the last four matches following a back complaint.

These stories have been reproduced from today's media. It does not necessarily represent the position of Bristol City FC.
