McCoulsky departs Ashton Gate books

Shawn McCoulsky has joined Forest Green Rovers on a permanent deal.

The 21-year-old has spent the first half of the season on loan at Southend United but has since agreed terms at the New Lawn, signing for an undisclosed fee.

Chief Executive Officer Mark Ashton said: “The switch to Forest Green Rovers is a good deal for the club and also for Shawn at this point in his career.

“The move will see Bristol City Football Club retain a large value in the future of the player.”

McCoulsky arrived at Ashton Gate from non-league Dulwich Hamlet in 2015 and his only senior appearance arrived a year later, when he came off the bench during an EFL Cup tie with Hull City.

Everyone at the club wishes Shawn the best of luck for the future.
