Jamie McAllister has revealed trialist Osagi Bascombe has been rewarded with an extended stay at the club.
Initially joining for training and one game, attacker Bascombe will now spend a month with the club.
Bermuda-born Bascome has previously featured in the youth setups of Aston Villa, Stoke City, Valencia and Levante.
On Monday he scored in City Under-23s’ 3-1 win over Ipswich Town, having previously impressed in a 2-0 victory over Portsmouth.
McAllister said: “Osagi was bright when he came on against Ipswich.
“We got him in for a week on trial and now I’ve extended that for a month so we can have a good look at him.
“He’s looked good in training sessions. He’s only 17 and is eager to learn. He’s showed us he can finish as well.”
City Under-23s return to action away at Swansea City in the PL2 Cup on Friday (December 2nd, 2pm). This is a change to the original fixture list.
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
