🔎 MansionBet Match Preview: Millwall (H)

Take an in-depth look at how City match up against Millwall as the Lions travel to Ashton Gate on Sunday.

🔴 OURSELVES

City head into this game off the back of narrow 2-1 defeat at home to QPR after the Hoops snatched a late winner on Thursday night.

Nigel Pearson will want to see his side show the same levels of commitment and desire that were on display against QPR as they look to start the New Year on a positive note.

In his last four starts Antoine Semenyo has registered on goal and two assists, and after scoring at The Den in the Emirates FA Cup last season, the 21-year-old will want to add to his tally against the Lions as he aims to start his fifth game on the bounce.

🧳 OUR OPPONENTS

Millwall travel to Ashton Gate after collecting all three points on the road against Coventry City with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday night.

Gary Rowett's side currently sit 11th in the Championship and will be keen to improve on their position as they are just six points adrift of a play-off spot with half of the season left to play.

With 11 goal involvements including a goal in the reverse fixture earlier on in the season, Jed Wallace will be confident he can continue his run of form heading into the New Year as he looks to add to his impressive tally.

👀 ONE TO WATCH

Jed Wallace

The attacking midfielder has registered 11 goal involvements as we head into the second half of the season. With five goals and six assists, the 27-year-old has proved to be an influential figure for the Lions.

Wallace has featured in all bar one league game this season which shows how much Gary Rowett values him and what he brings on a matchday.

The Reading-born player started his senior career at Portsmouth, going on to make 110 appearances and bagging 27 goals, before making the switch to Wolves in 2015. During his time at Wolves he was sent on loan to Millwall, eventually making the move permanent in 2017.

Millwall's number seven will be keen to make a difference on Sunday as he looks to add to his goal tally and find the back of the net yet against versus the Robins, after netting at The Den back in September.
