City return to Ashton Gate after the November international break, with Derby County in town for the start of an action-packed winter schedule.
In partnership with MansionBet, here’s a preview of what you can expect from the fixture.
City had endured a tough October as results got away from Dean Holden's side, but after five games without a win, the Robins battled to earn back-to-back victories - both on the road to Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City.
More known for his assists this season, Chris Martin finally got his reward by scoring his first league goal for the club, while Antoine Semenyo actually went on to top the assist charts with five for the campaign when he set up Martin's strike in South Wales.
And so they went into the international break on a high ahead of a tough winter schedule.
Now they get to test themselves against a Derby County side which has struggled to hit the ground running this season.
Last season was one to remember for the Robins in terms of their success over Derby, as the Rams fell to a 2-0 defeat at Pride Park early in the season, before February's meet in BS3 leading to a 3-2 win for City.
Fast forward to 2020/21 and Phillip Cocu managed just one win before his departure this month as the Rams look set to arrive at Ashton Gate with a new-look management in the dugout. Wayne Rooney, Liam Rosenior, Shay Given and Justin Walker were put in temporary charge though the search for a permanent replacement to Cocu has already begun.
Former Robin Rosenior insists, despite their troublesome results, there are "really, really good things happening" at Derby County. He told the club's official website: "It is up to me, Wayne, Justin and Shay to find the right combination and use the ingredients in the right way and create a successful team in the short term. That’s all the focus is on now.”

City continued their unbeaten start in the league under Denis Smith, stretching their run to four games with this televised goal fest away to Derby County.
The Robins had to fight from behind after two goals from a certain Paul Simpson (yes, our assistant head coach!) gave the Rams an early lead.
However, the visitors struck back through left-back Martin Scott and winger Junior Bent, to peg the scores to 2-2 with 15 minutes remaining.
An Andy Comyn own goal then put City in front for the first time before Simpson raced up the other end to complete his hat-trick as the goal frenzy continued at the Baseball Ground.
But there was still time for Wayne Allison to leave his mark with a match-winning header from Jacki Dziekanowski’s cross two minutes from the end, as both teams provided the audience with an afternoon of entertainment.
