It feels like an eternity since the final whistle blew at Nottingham Forest, where the 2-1 win stretched City's winning start in the Sky Bet Championship. to four games. Only a fortnight will have actually passed when the action returns with a trip to Oakwell this Saturday and one thing is for sure - City will want to pick up where they left off.
For all the talk off the pitch, City have their own big project to contend and Dean Holden has spoken about momentum which they've worked on by turning full focus on Barnsley from the start of the week. After a small period of rest and recovery, the mentality has shifted immediately to the next match.
The Tykes have recorded one point in the league, after a 0-0 draw with newcomers Coventry City but losses have been the common theme so far. Like the Robins, they enjoyed back-to-back wins in the Carabao Cup but they suffered a heavy 6-0 loss at the hands of Chelsea in the Third Round.
Now Barnsley, who narrowly avoided relegation last season by just one point, are managerless after Gerhard Struber departed to take charge at New York Red Bulls. Adam Murray is currently operating as Caretaker Head Coach and will take charge from the sidelines on Saturday as he looks to guide the Yorkshire outfit to better fortunes.
