City are sweating on the fitness of a number of players heading into the New Year encounter with Reading (Monday, January 2nd, 3pm).
Hordur Magnusson’s hamstring injury, sustained in the second half of City’s 2-1 defeat at Ipswich Town, will be assessed by the medical team although the tight turn around between the two fixtures is hardly going to boost the Icelandic defender’s chances.
Adam Matthews (hamstring) missed the trip to Portman Road and it remains unclear how severe the damage is, while Gary O’Neil continues to be absent with a torn calf muscle.
Korey Smith was another to be absent at Portman Road after suffering with illness at the team hotel, so City will be hopeful their experienced midfielder can shake off the bug.
Ivan Lucic, meanwhile, was replaced on the bench on Friday by Richard O’Donnell after suffering a minor back injury in training.
Tickets remain on sale for the Reading game online and will also be available on the day.
Supporters can take advantage of 50% off all Bristol Flyers jerseys in the Bristol Sport store, online and on gameday.
