Luke Steele - All you need to know

Luke Steele has become the club’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.

The goalkeeper has joined on a free transfer after leaving Greek club Panathinaikos.

Once an England youth international, Steele previously spent time with Manchester United earlier in his career.

For fans who want to know a little more about the new keeper, here’s a handy guide.

Born: September 24th 1984 (age 32).

Place of Birth: Peterborough.

Position: Goalkeeper.

Previous professional clubs: Peterborough United, Manchester United, Coventry City (loan), West Bromwich Albion, Barnsley, Panathinaikos.

Career totals: 370 appearances.

International football: England Under-18s, England Under-19s and England Under-20s.

Honour: FA Youth Cup 2003 with Manchester United.

Did you know: On his Barnsley debut, Steele earned the Man of the Match award as the Tykes secured a famous FA Cup fifth round victory against Liverpool at Anfield.
