Ludlow's Wales earn hard-fought point in Russia

Wales came away with a hard earned point yesterday, with a 0-0 draw against Russia in their World Cup qualifier in St Petersburg.

Bristol City Women vice-captain Loren Dykes started the game, helping her national team to go top of group one.

Wales began well and almost scored within the first five minutes, however Natasha Harding was denied the goal by Tatyana Shcherbak in the Russia goal.

Dykes will now return to City Women to prepare for Reading Women this Saturday (5.30pm kick-off), tickets are available here
