Bristol City Women are delighted to confirm that Loren Dykes has signed a new contract with the club.
Joining the club in 2008, Dykes will once again represent the club in WSL 1 on its return this coming season.
An experienced Wales international, Dykes has just returned from Portugal and the Netherlands with Wales this summer, playing in all three International Friendly Fixtures.
Upon re-signing, Dykes is looking forward to testing herself at WSL 1 level once again.
She said “It’s great to be staying at club, I’ve been here for a long time and I love this environment.”
“I had a tough time with injury during the Spring Series, but I am back fit now and raring to go for the season in September. The Spring Series helped us identify where we need to improve and we are excited for the challenge ahead.”
Vixens Manager Willie Kirk is delighted Dykes is staying at the club.
He added “Loren is one of our longest serving players and a senior member of this squad, her attitude and professionalism is second to none and she really helps the younger players we have in the squad.”
“She has recently been working towards some of her UEFA coaching qualifications, and during her injury in the Spring Series, I managed to give her some exposure to the coaching side of things. I'm hoping that this added to her learning, and it also added value to what I was doing. In the near future however, I’m looking forward to her returning to full fitness and playing her part this coming season, on the pitch.”
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
