Loan Watch: Golbourne gets Dons win

Jojo Wollacott kept a clean sheet on his debut for Bath City on Saturday as they hammered Knaphill 6-0 in the Emirates FA Cup.

In Sky Bet League One, Scott Golbourne completed 90 minutes for MK Dons as they narrowly overcame Rochdale 3-2 at Stadium:MK.

Cheltenham Town picked up an important 3-1 win at home to Colchester United, with Taylor Moore and Joe Morrell both playing the whole game. Freddie Hinds missed the game with slight concussion.

Moore was unfortunate to concede a penalty for handball, while Morrell – recently placed on standby for Wales Under-21s – produced another solid display in midfield.

It was an all together different story for Diego De Girolamo, who completed 90 minutes for ten man Chesterfield in their 2-1 home defeat to Accrington Stanley.

De Girolamo was booked in the defeat, which saw the Spireites drop into the League Two dropzone and manager Gary Caldwell was dismissed on Saturday evening.

Elsewhere, Shawn McCoulsky was a late replacement for Newport County as they slipped to a 2-1 loss at Morecambe, while Jonny Smith played 89 minutes for AFC Fylde in their impressive 2-2 draw at Eastleigh.

DOWLING INJURY WORRY

Under new management at Torquay United, where Gary Owers has taken charge, George Dowling limped off after just 17 minutes of their match at Barrow with a hamstring problem.

There was triple FA Cup disappointment for Weston pair Aden Baldwin and Ashley Harper (2-1 loss at Bognor Regis, Cameron Pring at Merthyr Town (2-1 loss at Havant & Waterlooville) and Jake Andrews, whose Chippenham Town lost 2-0 at Weymouth.

In Sweden, Gustav Engvall played 71 minutes in Djurgarden’s 4-1 thrashing of Orebro.

Meanwhile, young goalkeeper Alhaji Sesay has joined Clevedon Town on a month’s youth loan.
