Loan watch: Walsh scores against Rovers

Here's the latest report on City's stars out on loan.

Liam Walsh scored from range in Coventry’s 2-2 draw against Bristol Rovers.

The Gas twice led the Emirates FA Cup third round tie but for Walsh’s strike before the Sky Blues drew level once again through an own goal.

The sides will face off again in a replay for a spot in the fourth round.

Matty Taylor was also on the scoresheet with a penalty to put Oxford United through in the FA Cup. He was a second-half substitute and scored a late penalty as United ran out 4-1 winners over Hartlepool United.

In Sky Bet League One, Joe Morrell featured in Lincoln City’s 3-1 defeat to Sunderland but in League Two, young Northern Ireland striker Rory Holden was on the winning side as Walsall travelled to Salford City where they recorded a 2-1 victory.

Saikou Janneh, Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Robbie Cundy all featured in Torquay United’s goalless National League draw with Dagenham and Redbridge.

In the National League South, Zac Smith, Sam Pearson and Louis Britton helped Bath City stretch their unbeaten run in a 2-1 victory over Billericay Town, while Bradley Webb came off the bench in Hungerford Town’s 2-2 away draw with St Albans.

Goalkeeper Lochlan Robertson was voted Man of the Match in Evesham United’s 2-1 Betvictor Southern League Premier Division South loss to Larkhall Athletic and in Division One South, Marcus Day was involved for Paulton Rovers who slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Cinderford Town.
