Loan watch: Walsh nets superb solo goal

Liam Walsh scored a wonderful solo goal in Coventry City's 2-1 win over Rochdale in Sky Bet League One.

The midfielder's strike will surely go down as one of the best goals of the campaign. He took ball forward, turning away from three defenders before twisting and firing a shot into the goal.

His performance also earned a place in the EFL's Team of the Week.

Northern Ireland forward Rory Holden was on the winning side, playing the full 90 minutes as Walsall overcame Cambridge United 2-1.

In the BetVictor Southern League, Louis Britton and Brad Webb were both in action for Yate Town who drew 1-1 with Beaconsfield Town.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott played the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 defeat for Forest Green Rovers at home to Plymouth Argyle. Midfielder James Morton was unused sub.

While in the National League South, Saikou Janneh and Robbie Cundy were both involved in Torquay United's 2-1 loss to Sutton United.
