Loan Watch: Vyner nets the winner for Pilgrims

Zak Vyner scored the winner for loan club Plymouth Argyle at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

The 20-year-old defender fired home in the second half at Greenhaus Meadow to secure a third straight win for the Pilgrims in Sky Bet League One.

Jake Andrews made his league debut for Cheltenham Town in their 5-1 thumping of Port Vale at Whaddon Road.

Also in League Two, Tin Plavotic came on for Barnet late in the game to shore up the defence as the Bees picked up a much-needed 1-0 win over Notts County.

George Dowling and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans were both involved for Torquay United as they produced an impressive 2-1 win at Maidenhead.

Jonny Smith was a substitute for AFC Fylde in their 2-1 success at Gateshead, edging the North West club closer to the play-offs.

Kel Akpobire was on the scoresheet for Guernsey in their 2-2 draw with Thamesmead Town, netting from the penalty spot.

Bath City continue their play-off push, with James Morton and Antoine Semenyo both featuring in their 2-0 win at Braintree Town.

Weston-super-Mare are hot on their heels after a 1-0 victory over Concord Rangers, with Ash Harper and Aaron Parsons completing 90 minutes.

Cameron Pring’s Hereford FC are now second in their league after beating Biggleswade Town 1-0.

Meanwhile, there was a narrow 1-0 defeat for Solihull Moors, where Opi Edwards and Max O’Leary are on loan.
