Loan watch: Towler makes Grimsby debut

Taylor Moore got a taste of his first Edinburgh derby as he came off the bench in the 66th minute for Hearts in the goalless draw with Hibernian.

A win for either side would have taken them top of the Scottish Premiership, but both goalkeepers produced several fine saves in a closely-matched contest.

In League Two, Owura Edwards was an unused substitute for Exeter City as they secured maximum points with a comfortable 4-0 win away to Salford City.

Ryley Towler made his debut for Grimsby Town as they made the long trip south to Torquay United. The Bristolian completed 90 minutes as the Mariners came from behind to maintain their unbeaten start to the Vanarama National League season after a 3-1 win, while Joe Low started for Eastleigh in their 1-1 draw away to Barnet.

Josh Owers and Marlee Francois experienced victory on the road as Bath City went to Braintree Town and were on the right side of a 3-1 scoreline, with both players playing the full match.

Will Buse was named in the starting XI for Taunton Town as they went to Farnborough, while Khari Allen was introduced in the 52nd-minute in what was a 3-2 loss.
