Loan watch: Taylor seals winner

Here's the latest roundup of City players out in action across the football pyramid.

Matty Taylor scored a late winner as Oxford United secured their fourth-consecutive victory.

Taylor’s turn and shot with just five minutes to go sealed a 2-1 win against Southend United at the Kassam Stadium.

The win moves Taylor and co into the League One play-off places.

Max O’Leary kept a clean sheet at the Memorial Stadium as Shrewsbury Town overcame Bristol Rovers 1-0.

Taylor Moore played the full 90 minutes for managerless Blackpool as they defeated Ipswich Town 2-1 at Bloomfield Road.

Elsewhere in League One, Sammie Szmodics started again for Peterborough as they drew 1-1 with Burton and Liam Walsh played the whole game for Coventry on Sunday when they beat fellow high-flyers Sunderland 1-0 at home.

In League Two, Johnny Smith scored his ninth league goal of the season for Oldham Athletic as they beat George Nurse’s Newport County 5-0. Tyreeq Bakinson started for Plymouth in a 2-1 loss at Bradford City.

In non-league, Robbie Cundy scored his first goal for Torquay in a 2-0 win over Chorley but it was not such a good afternoon for Sam Pearson who played 90 minutes for Bath City who lost 2-0 at Braintree Town.
