Loan Watch: Seven youngsters in action

Jonny Smith featured as Tranmere Rovers were held to a 2-2 draw against ten-men Stevenage, as the 2018/19 season kicked-off around the country.

Striker Antoine Semenyo made a substitute appearance but could not stop Newport County's 3-0 loss to Mansfield. Tyreeq Bakinson did not come off the bench.

Cheltenham Town lost 1-0 to Crawley Town, with Aden Baldwin featuring for the Robins.

James Morton played the full 90 minutes as Bath City slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Dartford.

George Nurse played 90 minutes as Weston-super-Mare lost 4-1 to Wealdstone.

Jojo Wollacott and Tom Richards featured in a 4-0 opening day defeat for Truro City at the hands of Billericay Town.

George Dowling was an unused substitute as Eastleigh lost 2-1 to Solihull Moors, as was Harvey Smith whose Hereford ran out 3-0 winners against Blyth Spartans.

And Freddie Hinds did not feature for Wrexham, who beat Dover 1-0 away.
